What this calculator tells you

A budget is easier to defend when it is tied to a target number of orders and a realistic acquisition cost. This tool shows the spend, revenue, and profit implication together.

Ad budget = target orders × target CPA. Profit after ads = target orders × (AOV × contribution margin - CPA).

When to use it

Use it to plan a launch month, compare channel assumptions, or decide how much traffic a campaign must convert.

Use conservative inputs

Start with your landed cost, real fee rates, and a pessimistic advertising cost. The result is more useful when the assumptions are honest.

Watch the common mistake

Planning spend without a contribution margin can create orders that grow revenue but reduce cash.

Frequently asked questions

What is a realistic CPA?

Use historical data first. If you do not have it, model a pessimistic and an optimistic CPA instead of relying on one target.

Does this include fixed costs?

No. The result is contribution after variable costs and ads. Fixed overhead needs to be covered separately.

What if the result is negative?

The target CPA is above the contribution per order. Improve conversion, reduce fulfillment cost, raise average order value, or lower acquisition cost.
